Friendship – Allies

• Don’t take Christian as a friend (5:51)
• Do not  take  the Jews and the Christians  as allies and  whoever takes them as allies are one of them (5:51) 
• Do not take those, who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement, as allies (among the people of the book and disbelievers) (5:57)
• Jesus and David cursed the children of Israel (5:78)
  • Did Jesus and David curse these people?
• the most intensive enemies of the believers (Muslims) are the Jews and Polytheists and the Christians have more affections to the believers (5:82)
• The Muslims are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves (48:29)
• O you who have believed, do not take as intimates those other than yourselves (3:118) 

Invitation to Islam

• The people of the book (disbeliever) and polytheists will be in eternal hellfire and those are the worst of the creatures (98:6)
• Why do not you believe the verses of Allah, though you are a witness (3:70)

• Ask the people of the book to come to adore together with the believers Allah alone (3:64)?
• Moses brought clear proofs but you took the calf [in worship] (2:92)

Bad Handling of Books

• the people of the book do not expose the book and threw it away behind their backs and exchanged it for a small price (3:187)

Handling Toward Their Books (Injeel/Gospel – Torah)

• The people of the book have to uphold [the law of] the Torah and the Gospel( revealed to them)(5:68)
• Why don’t they judge by the Torah (the judgment of Allah)? (5:43)=> the Torah(the guidance and light ) was sent down … and whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, is a disbeliever (5:44)
• We sent down the Gospel( guidance and light) to confirm the Torah (5:46) => people of the Gospel (Christian) judge by what Allah did send down to them, whoever does not do that is a rebel ((5:46-47)
  • contradiction 9:29, where Allah ask to fight the people of the book
• Jesus confirms what was in the Torah before him and make something lawful(which was forbidden)l(3:50)

• Messenger has revealed  to you much of what  people of the book used to hide in the Book (5:15)

Confirmation

• O you who were given the Scripture, believe in what We have sent down [to Muhammad], confirming that which is with you, otherwise you will be cursed (4:47)

Signs

• Why doesn’t Allah speak to us directly and don’t send signs down  => Allah shown clearly the signs (2:118)

Jews bad and good deeds

• The Jews kill the prophet because they teach that which they don’t want (2:87)
• they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved (2:89)
• It is because of the wrongdoing of jews, we made for them some good foods unlawful (4:160) 
  • Not in the Torah only because unlawful foods are impure ((Lev 11:1-47))

Qibla

• The people of  the Scripture well know that it is the truth from their Lord (Qibla direction to pray –  toward the sacred mosque)(2:144) 
  • How did they know because no-one talked about that before?
• The people of the book don’t follow the Qibla(direction to pray)and Mohammed don’t have to follow  theirs(2:145) and everyone has his Quibla (2:148) 
• The change of Qibla/direction to pray to know who follows the messenger (2:143)

Sabbat

• The Sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it (16:124)

Challenge to the disbelievers

• Come! let us gather together(our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves), earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie! (3:61)
